USDA has conducted a review of the exemption threshold under the softwood lumber checkoff, analyzing various thresholds ranging from 10 to 30 million board feet.  A proposed rule that details USDA’s analysis and proposes an exemption threshold of 15 million board feet was published in the Federal Register on May 30, 2017.
